As usual, the standard narrative informs us about the Syrian situation in a selective manner, very selective.

If you look at the Arab League observers report, it makes several points that contradict the Western media narrative:

1 ) There are groups enthusiastically supporting the regime.
2) There are armed groups fighting the regime.
3) Peaceful demonstrations largely proceed without government interference.
4) The Arab League mission served to calm things and resolved several stand-offs.

I also read a leaked text of the resolution that included Russia's suggestions. Instead of approving the suggestions, the US didn't not like Russia's insistence on no foreign military action. And the US was unwilling to acknowledge that there were armed groups fighting
the Syrian government or agree that they should lay down their arms as part of a cease fire with the government. And they called Russia's veto of a resolution not containing these changes "disgusting."

What comes across clearly is that the so-called international community wants foreign intervention. And if not foreign intervention is not officially sanctioned, it will bolster the existing rebellion and start a civil war. As with Qaddhafi, Assad must go, regardless of what the majority of Syrians think.

If the "international community" wanted to lessen tensions, it would increase the presence of the observer mission, which has had a calming effect. Instead, it is sending in mercenaries and undercover special forces.

you need to visit the link. The author discovered he's all wet, as this update by him indicates:

"Update: Josh Pollack informs me that the Fordow enrichment facility is under a much stricter IAEA safeguards regime than I initially thought. Rather than having a window of 2-3 months between site inspections, the IAEA averages one Design Information Verification (DIV) visit per month, in addition to various other types of near-continuous monitoring, both remote and on-site. Thus, a breakout scenario that depends on the rapid enrichment of weapons-usable material under the nose of IAEA inspectors strains even further the limits of Iran’s technical capability."

the article failed to consider the US drone that Iran apparently took command control of. Has Iran hacked our drone signals programs? It could be funny if the Israeli drones were sent over, then taken over by Iran and landed.

Missing is the radioactive "collateral damage" calculations on millions of innocent Iranians. If the "chosen people" do attack Iran and cause widespread radioactive contamination they will need to re-brand themselves as moral midgets.

Dear Tom,

Your discussion was well put , unfortunately 99% of American don,t care they are more interested on Super Ball tomorrow.

American business is Business American war is for their business
If America cared for human kind they would have taken better care of their owen people , just look at our health system and our education system.

On Friday fortune 500 had announced that NSDQ was 11 years high DJIA was9 years high thanks to Iraq war we got richer if we were wealthy enough to be involve in stock market .

The fear that America is talking about is for preparing us for accepting the war ,Staged theater, the same way they prepared the country for Iraq war, then was weapon of mass distraction that iraq did not have now is Nuclear weapon that Iran does not have .

America borrowed money after eating up tax payer money in Iraq war where
did all these money go ? to company like XOM, WLM , LMT etc I call them International Mafia , the American business is business

There is no hope for peace in America when 99% of population are Ignorant.

Sincerely,

Sara

Nevertheless the US media is ready to scaremonger about a war in the Mideast with David Ignatius of the WashPost falsely attributing views to US Def Sec Panetta about an imminent ISraeli attack on Iran (which Panetta himself explicitly denied.)

The 17% support for a US attack provides a measure of potential blowback onto the Jewish community should Israel drag the US into yet another war on its behalf.

I wonder if neocon crazies have really thought this through.

the US, europe and israel are trying to do the same thing to iran as they did to iraq in the 1990s and it will result in the deaths of large numbers of innocent people if carried out over a long period of time. trying to weaken the people and damage both the infrastructure of the country and the ability of the nation to feed itself etc.

and all for what? so that israel and the US (and the reactionary saudis) can continue with their policies of dominating the whole region by threat of violence and subversion of the Arab Spring?
may greece default soon and the euro fall apart before long so that europe would no longer play the US' dangerous game of chicken......there's gonna be a war if they keep up with this
