I am 100% certain this will happen under the Bush Administration.

I favor this course of action. You cannot negotiate with the regime in Tehran.

The Iranian Muslim has become impossible to deal with. The Iranians will never end their nuclear program until they are confronted wth all the air and sea power of the United States. It will be an interesting next 12 months.

The United States has become the rogue-est of rogue nations, and the Cheney/Bush administration an ongoing criminal conspiracy on a scale that should [pray: will] someday include them among human history’s very worst actors. Little King George and Lord Bruce have, essentially, ripped the head off of 750 years of established Law and [edited for content] down its neck. Why we are not now encircling the White House, en masse, and laying our bodies down to arrest these posers, these hucksters, these “Mayberry Machiavellis,” these war criminals . . . well, it’s a wonder.

Now Dick and George are itching to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities — some of which are located in Tehran — a metropolis of 12 million people!!!??? Maybe lob some “tactical nukes” in there, eh, because “nothing is off the table.”

100’s of thousands dead, tortured, murdered, and 4 million “displaced” in Iraq . . . Now it’s Iran’s turn.

My own heart and mind are exploding already, confronting this open, obvious madness — mass murdering madness.

The November 20, 1979 incident had nothing to do with Iran. According to GlobalSecurity.org “at least 500 dissidents invaded and seized the Grand Mosque in Mecca on November 20, 1979. The leader of the dissidents, Juhaiman ibn Muhammad ibn Saif al Utaiba, a Sunni, was from one of the foremost families of Najd. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nejd ) His grandfather had ridden with Abd al Aziz in the early decades of the century, and other family members were among the foremost of the Ikhwan. Juhaiman said that his justification was that the Al Saud had lost its legitimacy through corruption, ostentation, and mindless imitation of the West–virtually an echo of his grandfather’s charge in 1921 against Abd al Aziz. Juhaiman’s accusations against the Saudi monarchy closely resembled Ayatollah Ruhollah Musaui, Khomeini’s diatribes against the shah.”

So the ’scholar’ manages to interpret the resemblance of Abd al Aziz. Juhaiman’s accusations to the Ayatollah Khomeini’s diatribes against the shah as being proof that the “”pilgrms” were “Iranian-supported”.

It would be laughable if it wasn’t criminal.

One inadvertent error in the third paragraph merits editing, however. In the fourth line, Mr. Lobe writes Iraq instead of Iran: “. . . AEI and other hawks (including the vice president’s office) are trying to achieve between their two top priorities at the moment – sustaining the Surge well into next year and rallying Congress and the public behind an attack on Iraq [sic] before the end of Bush’s term . . . .”
